Zwanzig Jahre Liebe auf der Titelseite. Das bedeutendste populäre Frauenmagazin Nous Deux zeichnet sich durch einen ganz besonderen Typ von Titelblatt aus. Untersuchungsgegenstand sind 20 Jahre dieses gezeichneten Titelblatts, von 1949 bis 1969. Unter dem Aspekt der künstlerischen Aufmachung, der Titel, Zahl der abgebildeten Personen, Art der Witterung,dersozialen Merkzeichen, Aktivitäten und Gesten der Abgebildeten läßt sich nach den Bedingungen der Entwicklung einer — gerne als steril und immergleich wahrgenommenen — populären Produktion fragen, sowie danach, wie diese aufgenommen, wie in ihr kulturelle tiberlieferung ihrer ursprünglichen Bestimmung entfremdet wird und welches paradoxe Verhältnis zur Geschichte sie beinhaltet.

Twenty Years of Love on the Cover. Among other distinctive characteristics, the best-selling women's magazine in France, Nous Deux, has a quite specific cover design. This article analyses twenty years' covers, from 1949 to 1969. A close examination of the aesthetics, the captions, the number of persons, the rrieteorological situations depicted, the social markers and activities of the participants, their postures and actions, provides the basis for consideration of the conditions of evolution of a popular product that is often regarded as sterile and immutable, of the ways in which it accepts and reinterprets cultural legacies, and its paradoxical relationship to history.

Vingt ans d'amour en couverture. Le plus important magazine féminin populaire, Nous Deux, présente entre autres caractéristiques un type de couvertures absolument spécifique. L'analyse porte ici sur 20 années de couvertures dessinées, de 1949 à 1969. Par l'examen précis de l'esthétique, des titres, du nombre des personnages, des situations météorologiques, des marques et activités sociales des acteurs, des gestes représentés, on peut interroger les conditions d'évolution d'une production populaire — volontiers perçue comme stérile et immuable —, ses modes d'acceptation et de détournement d'héritages culturels, et son rapport paradoxal à l'Histoire.
