La plus longue des inscriptions regroupées dans les "Inscriptions modernes d' Angkor" est connue sous le nom de "Grande inscription d' Angkor Vat". Datée de l'an 1623 de la Grande Ère (P.E. 1701), ce document de 53 lignes (152 strophes faisant appel à trois mètres différents) constitue un véritable poème, profondément humain et particulièrement riche en métaphores et allusions littéraires. L'auteur traite brièvement de trois de ces allusions : l'une au Lokaneyyappakaraṇa, l'autre à l'histoire de Nāṅ Bhogavatī et la dernière au personnage de Jotika-seṭṭhī, incarnation de la richesse par excellence.
