. - In continental areas, biotite and/or muscovite granite (ex french « granulite ») are pretty resistant rocks in respect of other alcaline granite and more or less metamorphic rocks. However, along sea shores, for instance in Britanny and Donegal (Eire), these rocks are in lower position and tectonic events are inconstant with explanation. Chemical weathering (pH and biogenic conditions) and strength of wares may explain this fact (resistance - inversion).

. - Alors qu'en régions continentales le granite à biotite et/ou muscovite est une roche résistante, il fait figure de roche moins résistante en conditions littorales (Bretagne, Irlande).
