. - The western voltaic area is featured by the extension of cotton farming and the increase of a strong mossi migratory flow. The author tries and underlines the positive and negative aspects of such a regional situation : agricultural extension work of new technical data but more marked antagonisms between natives and migrants, economic welfare but partial reinterpretation of the set forth economic model, which deepen the gap between traditional peasant logics on the one hand, and modern technical rationality, on the other hand.

. Le développement de la culture cotonnière et le renforcement d'un puissant courant migratoire mossi transforment l'Ouest voltaïque. L 'auteur tente de mettre en évidence les éléments de force et de faiblesse d'une telle réalité régionale : vulgarisation de nouveaux thèmes techniques, mais renforcement des antagonismes entre autochtones et migrants, mieux-être économique, mais réinterprétation partielle du modèle proposé, creusant un écart de plus en plus grand entre logique paysanne traditionnelle et rationalité technique moderne.
