. - This paper studies the increasing part played in Europe by the integrated systems of transport permitting intermodal itineraries, especially for N-S relations. It shows the technical problems of the roadrailing technology, which needs an international cooperation. It discusses the possibility of adoption in Europe of the american roadrailing system.

. - Cet article étudie le développement des modes de transport combiné en Europe sur longue distance, en particulier sur les axes N-S. Il envisage les problèmes techniques (gabarit) posés par le ferroutage, et la coopération qu'il requiert entre les Etats à l'échelle de l'Europe ; il évoque pour terminer les possibilités et les difficultés d'adoption du système américain de Roadrailer.
