La dumontite, Pb2(U02)3(PO4)2(OH)4. 3H2O est monoclinique. Paramètres : a = 8,16, b = 16,73, c = 7,02 Å, ϐ = 110°. Groupe spatial P21 /m. Z = 2. La structure est formée de feuillets d'orthophosphate d'uranyle [(UO2)3(PO4)2(OH)2]-2n parallèles à (100) et liés entre eux par les ions Pb++. L'uranium occupe deux sites différents avec des coordinences respectives de 7 et 8.
