P. J. Van Tiggelen et al., « The concept of a mean temperature in the flame reaction zone », Bulletins de l'Académie Royale de Belgique, ID : 10.3406/barb.1967.62875
The flame reaction zone can be assimilated to a homogeneous reactor provided appropriate mean values of the temperature, the diffusion coefficient and the reaction rate are defined. This problem makes the object of this paper and proper values are tabulated. Methods are proposed in order to obtain overall kinetical parameters (activation energy and reaction order) from experimental measurements of burning velocity, flame temperature and flame front thickness.
