Résumé
The crystal and molecular structures of Delacre's dypnopinacone and α-dypnopinacoline have been determined from three dimensional X ray diffraction data. As pointed out previously by Ivanoff on the basis of chemical arguments, dypnopinacone is a methyl-triphenyl-hydroxy-cyclo-hexenophenone and α-dypnopinacoline, a methyltriphenyl-cyclohexadienophenone. The configuration and conformation of both molecules have been established.
