Ο Ιπποκράτης και το ιερό της Δηλίης στη Θάσο. Εξαιτίας διαφορετικών αναγνώσεων μεταξύ πολλών χειρογράφων, θεωρούσαμε μέχρι σήμερα ως αβέβαιο τον τόπο διαμονής ενός από τους ασθενείς του Ιπποκράτους, που αναφέρεται στο τρίτο βιβλίο των Επιδημιών. Χάρη στην πρόσφατη ανακάλυψη του Δηλίου, είναι πλέον βέβαιο ότι ο ασθενής αυτός διέμενε κοντά σε αυτό ιερό, στο βορειότερο τομέα της πόλης.

Hippocrates and the sanctuary of the Delian at Thasos. Owing to various readings of several manuscripts, the address of one of Hippocrates’ patients mentioned in Epidemics III was until now considered uncertain. The recent discovery of the Delion guarantees henceforth that this patient lived near this sanctuary, in the most northern part of the town.

En raison de lectures différentes entre plusieurs manuscrits, on considérait jusqu’à présent comme incertaine l’adresse d’un des patients d’Hippocrate mentionné au livre III des Épidémies. Grâce à la découverte récente du Délion, il est désormais assuré que ce patient résidait à proximité de ce sanctuaire, dans la partie la plus septentrionale de l’espace urbain.
