Bei einer Sichtung der Altbestände der A.D. de la Marne trat das Original einer Königsurkunde von 1065 wieder zutage. Es handelt sich um ein Dokument, das Philipp I. zugunsten des Klosters Toussaints-en-1'Isle ausstellen ließ. Maurice Prou hatte in seiner Edition der Urkunden dieses französischen Königs (1908) das Original für verloren gegeben und den Text anhand von Kopien ediert (n° 20). Eine Analyse der äußerlichen und der textuellen Eigenheiten der Urkunde bestätigt verschiedene Annahmen von Prou, insbesondere die Zuweisung zur königlichen Kanzlei. Im Fall einer weiteren, von Prou edierten Urkunde (n° 6), die der König 1060 zugunsten des Klosters Marmoutier signierte, liegt eine Parallelversion vor, deren Verhältnis zur Königsurkunde einer Prüfung bedarf : Jean Martin-Demézil hatte diese in den A.D. de Loir-et-Cher aufbewahrte Version als Zweitaustellung gedeutet, doch legt eine neuerliche diplomatische Expertise nahe, daß es sich eher umi eine ursprüngliche Form handelt, die im Kloster selbst ausgestellt wurde, um dann der Urkunde von 1060 als Vorlage zu dienen. Ein drittes Dokument des Korpus (Prou n° 82) wird in einer notitia von 1119 erwähnt (A.D. de l'Aisne). Die Referenz zeigt, daß das Kloster Saint-Jean-des-Vignes sich in einem umfänglichen Streitfall ausschließlich, wenn auch sehr punktuell, auf die genannte Königsurkunde stützen konnte.

Prospecting in the Marne departmental archive has led to the discovery of an original diploma issued by King Philip I of France in 1065 in favour of the abbey of Toussaints-en-1'Isle. In his 1908 edition of the records of that king, Maurice Prou published the instrument from copies (no. 20), assuming that the original was lost. The study of its internal and external features confirms several of M. Prou's conjectures, notably the assumption that it was drawn up in the royal chancery. Another instrument was subscribed by the king in 1060 in favour of the abbey of Marmoutier (Prou no. 6) ; in 1949, Jean Martin-Demézil located a different version, which he considered a second expedition. Re-examination of the original, kept in the Loir-et-Cher departmental archive, suggests a different view : it is probably the first text, written out by the abbey, of an instrument published by Prou from a rewritten version. A third instrument in the same corpus (Prou no. 82) is mentioned in an 1119 notitia (kept in the Aisne departmental archive), which makes it apparent that this was the only instrument which the abbey of Saint-Jean-des-Vignes could invoke (and then, only in part) in its effort to settle a dispute of a more general character.

Des prospections aux Archives départementales de la Marne ont permis de retrouver l'original d'un diplôme du roi de France Philippe Ier, délivré en 1065 en faveur de l'abbaye de Toussaints-en-l'Isle. Dans son édition des actes du roi, en 1908, Maurice Prou l'avait présumé perdu et édité d'après des copies (n° 20). L'étude des caractères externes et internes de l'acte confirme plusieurs intuitions de M. Prou et renforce l'hypothèse de l'attribution de la rédaction de l'acte à la chancellerie royale. D'un autre acte, souscrit par le roi en 1060 en faveur de l'abbaye de Marmoutier (Prou n° 6), Jean Martin-Demézil avait en 1949 retrouvé une version divergente, qu'il pensait être une seconde expédition ; un nouvel examen de ce document, conservé en original aux Archives départementales de Loir-et-Cher, suggère qu'il constituerait plutôt la version primitive, établie à l'abbaye, d'un acte dont M. Prou a édité un état réécrit. Un troisième acte du corpus (Prou n° 82) est mentionné dans une notice de 1119, conservée aux Archives départementales de l'Aisne : elle montre que, pour régler un litige plus vaste, l'abbaye de Saint-Jean-des-Vignes n'a pu s'appuyer, et très partiellement, que sur ce seul acte.
