Résumé
After examination of some morphological characters of the two Western-Mediterranean species of the genus Chalybion, the distribution of Ch. femoratum (Fabr.) in Southern France is given after examination of several collections and using data from the literature. The nest, found in an underground chamber, was a re-utilization of an old nest of Sceliphron sp., in which four cells had been provisioned with spider preys, then sealed again with mud.
