Two new subspecies of the Madagascan species Papilio epiphorbas Boisduval are described from, respectively, Grande-Comore and Anjouan, in the Comoros Archipelago. They differ from the nominal P. epiphorbas and also from each other by several features. P. epiphorbas is not present in Mayotte Island, the island closest to Madagascar. In Moheli, the smallest island, P. epiphorbas has been observed but has not been captured up to now.
