Description of the male of Cicadmalleus micheli Boulard & Puissant, 2013, and systematic position of the species (Hemiptera, Cicadoidea, Cicadidae). The illustrated description of the exceptional “ Hammerhead cicada” recently discovery in Thailand is given. The systematic position of the species is clarified, leading to give to the subtribe Cicadmalleina a rank of tribe in the subfamily Cicadinae, Cicadmalleini n. stat. Bio-ecological data for both sexes are described and the tymbalization (vulgo calling song) of the male is analyzed for the first time.

La description illustrée du mâle de Cicadmalleus micheli Boulard & Puissant, 2013, première Cigalemarteau récemment découverte en Thaïlande, est donnée. La position systématique de l’espèce est précisée, aboutissant à donner à la sous-tribu des Cicadmalleina un rang de tribu dans la sous-famille des Cicadinae, Cicadmalleini, n. stat. Des notes bio-écologiques concernant les deux sexes sont mentionnées et la cymbalisation d’appel nuptial du mâle est analysée pour la première fois.
