Nouveaux éléments chronostratigraphiques aux Tarterêts I (Essonne)

The Tarterêts I site in the south of Paris (Essonne) is located on the left edge of the Seine valley. The excavation conducted in 1969 and 1970 gave out a dwelling level that is recognized as a late magdale- nian occupation. Some recent stratigraphical and malacological analysis broutht new chronological datas as radiocarbon dating was impossible. The level corresponds to a late glacial interstade, probably during the Boiling period which saw the occupation of the neighbour site Etiolles.

RESUME La fouille des Tarterêts I, en aval de Corbeil- Essonne sur le versant gauche de la vallée de la Seine, permit le dégagement en 1969 et 1970 d'un sol d'habitat qui doit être rapporté au Magdalénien final. En l'absence d'éléments de datation absolue, de récentes analyses stratigraphique et malacologique apportent des repères chronologiques nouveaux. Une attribution du niveau à une phase tempérée tardiglaciaire est proposée et l'interstade de Boiling est retenu. Cette hypothèse rapproche l'occupation des Tarterêts I de celle du site voisin d'Étiolles datée de cette même période.
