Résumé En

Schematic Mesolithic art is to a large extent executed using veiy simple symbolic signs. Representations of grids, lattice-work, huts, smoking frames and all sorts of weaves appear first, followed by anthropomorphic figures. These are few in number, but their meaning is evident when they are found associated with numerous squared lattices, thus prefiguring the whole Mesolithic symbolic system of these nomadic ethnic groups. A few rare examples of Cervidae illustrate the fauna of the time and several harpoons and a spear are the only hunting weapons identified so far. it is mainly the "géodes " engraved on almost all their inner walls which reveal to us the symbol of the hut raised to the status of an ethnic emblem.
