The Re-discovery of the Americas -Five hundred years after the Columbus exploration of the American continents, many plants remain to be discovered in them. Plants, whether fruits or cereals, the two categories most frequently cites in this paper, offer great potential both in their native regions as well as in developing zones. Nevertheless, researchers, farmers and merchants have to combine and coordinate their efforts in order to satisfy consumers, who are more and more interested in the possibilities their hear about varying the type of food they eat. Already, some countries have started improving plant selection and teaching farming techniques, and we have reason to believe that in a few years we will be tasting new flavors in our old continent.

Végétaux, fruits ou céréales, la plupart de ceux cités ici offrent de grandes potentialités dans leurs propres régions comme dans les nouvelles zones de développement Chercheurs, planteurs, négociants doivent joindre et coordonner leurs efforts auprès des consommateurs de plus en plus sensibilisés par les informations et les recettes concernant la diversité alimentaire.
