Zhuang, a member of the Tai language family spoken in southwestern China, was traditionally written with Zhuang characters which resemble Chinese characters. The < "jÉutt^^^ > [ancient Zhuang character dictionary] published in 1989 listed and defined over 10,000 Zhuang characters and serves as the main reference for their study. This dictionary has been helping to revive the use of Zhuang characters among Zhuang speakers.

La langue Zhuang, membre de la famille Tai, parlée dans le sud-ouest de la Chine, a été écrite traditionnellement avec des caractères créés sur le modèle chinois. Le < ^f ^p^ Д- > [Dictionnaire des formes graphiques Zhuang anciennes], publié en 1989, répertorie et donne une traduction pour plus de 10.000 caractères Zhuang. Il constitue un ouvrage de référence fondamental et joue par ailleurs un rôle important en permettant aux locuteurs de la langue d'utiliser à nouveau cette écriture.
