La fouille d'une cavité karstique (aven), creusée dans les plateaux de Vaucluse, a permis de découvrir de nombreux vestiges (essentiellement céramiques) de la fin du Néolithique et surtout de l'Age du bronze final (BF 1 et BF 2). L'approche typo-chronologique et spatiale du mobilier permet, malgré l'absence d'une véritable stratigraphie, de mettre en évidence la pluralité des fonctions de cet aven. L'analyse du mobilier apporte quant à elle une contribution non négligeable à la connaissance de la Protohistoire ancienne vauclusienne, mal connue dans ce département.
