Résumé En

Herbert Dieckmann, Jacques Proust, Jean Varloot : on the «œuvres complètes de Diderot». This reply to an attack in Studies on Voltaire, vol. CXLIII, 1975, gives a history of the edition of Diderot's Works and of the problems posed — order of texts, attribution, modernisation of the text, organisation. It evokes H. Dieckmann 's initiation of the project and gives extracts from Jean Fabre's report on method. It includes a review by J. Proust (1969) of Écrits inédits de D. published by Th. Besterman in 1974, ed. by J. de Booy, criticising in particular the lack of proofs of attribution. Finally, problems of transcription are consi dered, notably the importance of punctuation.
