J.-M. Raynaud : A letter to Voltaire on «la ligue ». A letter from a certain la Bruyère in Amiens concerning Voltaire's poem la Ligue. This letter, published in the Journal historique in 1724, had been sent (according to the editors' note) to Voltaire, who had not replied. Contrary to what la Bruyère wrote to the Mercure de France in 1731, his criticism had no part in Voltaire's alterations to his poem.
