This study searches how a visual representation of the agricultural regions in the Perche (Lower Normandy) can be given by a graphic data-processing, in operation for several years (J. Bertin's system). - The simplification and mapping of the optimized matrix lead to settle several homogeneous agricultural areas. At the same time, a number of factors connected with human decisions have been individualized.

Une représentation visuelle des régions agricoles du Perche, espace correspondant à un département français, a été rendue possible grâce au traitement graphique de l'information expérimenté depuis quelques années (système J. Bertin). Une simplification et une cartographie des images obtenues successivement permettent de déterminer l'existence de plusieurs secteurs agricoles homogènes et d'individualiser un certain nombre de facteurs liés aux décisions humaines.
