Quality notions in food processing industries Pratical and theoretical topics. Quality management methods are quickly evoluting. Changes involve product design and production specification monitoring, labelling, evaluation, analysis and measurement methods. A renewed notion of quality is emerging, and becomes the subject of debates in professional, political and social scientists circles. This paper aims at fostering an interdisciplinary debate in what concerns the agro food sector. It describes the main economic issues which involve quality, and suggest five main themes to tackle this multiple facet objet.
