We have investigated children 's cognitive development through training tasks. The cognitive level of 72 children aged 3 to 8 was assessed. The children had to perform 4 tasks designed to train them to make class collections (of objects) along one dimension. The tasks were carried out in two different ways : there were either one adult and one child or one adult and two children of the same cognitive levels who were asked to cooperate. The behavioral clues obtained allowed us to make out some mechanisms of evolution within the framework of these training sessions. The level of representation of properties, the way they take their partner into account, the way they perform the tasks all evolve through mutual support at the different levels of their development.

L'apprentissage est utilisé comme moyen d'approche du processus développe- mental. Nous avons évalué le niveau cognitifde 72 enfants de 3 à 8 ans. Ces enfants ont été placés dans quatre situations d'apprentissage de la répartition d'objets en classes d'équivalence, sous deux modalités : un adulte/un enfant, un adulte/deux enfants de même niveau cognitif invités à coopérer. Les constellations d'indices comportementaux relevés permettent de cerner des mécanismes d'évolution dans le cadre de ces séances. Le niveau de représentation des propriétés, la prise en compte du partenaire, les procédures évoluent dans un étayage réciproque à différents niveaux du développement.
