Fonctionnement attentionnel et chronopsychologie : quelques données actuelles chez l'enfant de maternelle et primaire

Once the part of the attention at school reminded, as well as the factors which it is sensitive to (biological rythms, and external phenomenons) are distinguished the chronopsychology and its applying to the attention study, in order to state precisely the views pursued : chronopsychology as an analysis method for the childhood attentional running, ans as a study field for the rythmicity of attentional and mnemonic capacities. Aims are following : does the attention modulate the arousal level, depending on the individual needs ? How could be analysed the inter and intra- individual variabilities noticed in the attentional trends ? Results concerning on one hand the daily and weekly fluctuations of the different forms of attention (visual and auditory), and on the other hand the weekly fluctuations of the different kinds of memory (stm, ltm) are presented. These results lead to conclude that it is really difficult to caracterize universal trends from variations of attentional capacities, because of the numerous factors concerned, in which several are due to be specificaly taken in account, especialy the age, the kind of task, the sensorial modalities, and the motivation.

Une fois resitué le rôle de l'attention à l'école, ainsi que les facteurs auxquels elle est sensible (rythmes biologiques et phénomènes extérieurs), sont caractérisées la chronopsychologie et son application à l'étude de l'attention, précisant ainsi les perspectives suivies : chronopsychologie comme méthode d'analyse du fonctionnement attentionnel chez l'enfant et comme domaine d'étude des rythmicités des capacités attentionnelles et mnésiques. Viennent ensuite les objectifs visés : l'attention module-t-elle le niveau d'activation central selon les besoins de l'individu ? Comment analyser les variabilités inter- et intra-individuelles rencontrées dans les profils attentionnels. Sont ensuite présentés des résultats relatifs d'une part aux fluctuations journalières ou hebdomadaires des différentes formes d'attention (visuelle et auditive), et d'autre part aux fluctuations journalières des différents types de mémoire (mct, mlt). L'ensemble des résultats présentés amène à conclure qu'il est difficile de dégager des profils universels des variations des capacités attentionnelles en raison de la multiplicité des facteurs entrant en ligne de compte, dont certains doivent plus particulièrement être pris en compte, en particulier l'âge, le type de tâche, les modalités sensorielles sollicitées et la motivation.
