The notion of the individual has beendeeply transformed from the Romantic conception to the moder one, and what was marginal has become normal. But is the image given by the media really adjusted to social reatities ? There is a great risk to present as real what might be only à truncated representation.

De l'individualisme romantique à l'individualisme moderne, la notion a profondément évolué et, d'être marginal, l'individualiste est devenu la norme. Mais l'image qu'en donne le discours médiatique est-elle vraiment ajustée aux réalités sociales ? Le risque est grand de présenter comme le réel ce qui n'en serait qu'une représentation tronquée.
