Philippe Zarifian, Arbeit und Kommunikation in den informatisierten Industriebereichen. Nach einem kurzen Rückblick auf die Errungenschaften der klassischen Automatisierungsanalyse, untersucht der Autor die Arbeitssituationen in den informatisierten Industriebereichen daraufhin, wie eintretende Ereignisse gemeistert und wie Entscheidungen « in Situationen » getroffen werden. Der Autor zeigt, daß heutzutage ein Teil der Arbeitszeit der Operatoren und leitenden Arbeitskräfte dazu verwendet werden muß, um Planungsentscheidungen in bezug auf die « Meisterung » technischer und wirtschaftlicher Ereignisse zu fällen ; dabei kann es sich genauso gut um zufällig eintretende Ereignisse als auch um die Einführung technologischer Neuerungen handeln. In diesem beruflichen Kontext ist die Entwicklung einer kommunikativen Aktivität entscheidend ; Kommunikation ist hier zu verstehen als die Realisierung einer reziproken Verständigung zwischen verschiedenen Akteuren des industriellen Lebens, die « objektiv gesehen » miteinander in Beziehung stehen. Innerhalb dieser Kommunikation macht der Autor drei Ebenen aus : — die Ebene des Wissens ; — die Ebene der normativen Validität, d.h. hier der Relevanz der Zielsetzungen der industriellen Leistungen ; — die Äußerungsebene von Intentionen und Plänen, die jeder sozialen Kategorie und jedem Individuum eigen sind.

After summarizing knowledge acquired regarding the classic analysis of automation, the author approaches work situations in computerized industries in terms of mastery of events and decision-making « in situ ». He indicates that part of work today, for both operators and foremen, consists in making management decisions applied to the technical and economic mastery of events, whether these are unexpected hazards or the launch of innovations. In this professional context, the development of communication becomes decisive — communication in the sense of achieving a mutual understanding between different participants in industrial life who are « objectively » in contact. The author defines three levels in this communication : — knowledge ; — normative validity, i.e., in this case the relevance of objectives of industrial performance ; — the expression of intentions and plans peculiar to each social category and individual.

Après avoir rappelé les principaux acquis de l'analyse classique de l'automatisation, l'auteur développe une approche des situations de travail dans les industries informatisées en termes de maîtrise d'événements et de prises de décisions « en situation ». Il indique qu'une partie du travail aujourd'hui consiste, pour les opérateurs et la maîtrise, à prendre des décisions de gestion appliquées à la maîtrise technique et économique des événements, qu'il s'agisse d'aléas ou de lancement d'innovations. Dans ce contexte professionnel, le développement d'une activité de communication devient décisif, communication au sens de la réalisation d'une compréhension réciproque entre différents acteurs de la vie industrielle qui sont « objectivement » en relation. L'auteur délimite trois registres dans cette communication : — le registre de la connaissance ; — le registre de la validité normative, c'est-à-dire ici de la pertinence des objectifs de performance industrielle ; — le registre de l'expression des intentions et des projets propres à chaque catégorie sociale et individu.
