Vereinsamung bei Online-Studierenden ? Die mit der Entwicklung und der Einführung des Online-Learning (oder auch E-Learning) verbundenen Erwartungen wurden vielfach nicht erfüllt. Im vorliegenden Beitrag soll lediglich der Teilaspekt der Beziehungs- und Kommunikationsebene dieser Ausbildungsform anhand studentischer Verhaltensweisen analysiert werden. Genauer gesagt geht es hier um die Behandlung der unterschiedlichen Arten sozialer Beziehungen (Anomie, Netzwerk, Gemeinschaft). Dabei stützt sich der Autor auf eine Reihe empirischer Untersuchungen, die belegen, dass sich Studierende beim elektronisch unterstützten Lernen durchaus untereinander austauschen und sich gegenseitig helfen, wodurch neue Mikro-Lerner-Gemeinschaften entstehen bzw. existierende Kollektive sich auflösen können. The importance of the group in on-line vocational training. On-line vocational training (or e-learning) has not really come up to the initial expectations. With a view to explaining some of the reasons for this situation, we focus here on what students' experience of these practices tells us about the relational and communicative aspects of this mode of training. Previous concepts (anonymity, networking, community) relating to the various kinds of social link are first discussed. Based on a series of empirical studies, dynamic processes of communication and mutual support can be seen to develop in the framework of e-learning, which can lead not only to the development of new micro-communities of learners, but also to the disintegration of pre-existing collective groups. La formation en ligne (ou e-formation) a suscité de grandes attentes largement déçues. Nous proposons de rendre compte d'une partie de ce phénomène, en nous centrant sur les dimensions relationnelle et communicationnelle de la pratique des étudiants en ligne. Plus précisément, en discutant les conceptions de différents types de lien social (anomie, réseau, communauté) et en nous appuyant sur une série d'études empiriques, nous montrons qu'il est possible d'identifier une dynamique des échanges et de l'entraide dans la e-formation, pouvant conduire aussi bien à la constitution de micro-communautés d'apprenants qu'au délitement de collectifs préexistants.
