In the thirties, the Mediterranean spirit was a fashionable concept. Gabriel Audisio, author of Youth of Mediterranean Sea and Ulysses or intelligence, influenced an entire generation of young Algerian intellectuals and the most of all Albert Camus, who writes : «My heart is naturally Greek. » In every aspect of the life and work of Camus, we find Greece, her ideas, her gods and often Homer's thems.
