In the light of the recent find of a latin inscription from Aigues-Vives (Hérault) which is situated in the territory of the Narbonensis colonia, it is possible to look into an original aspect of funerary formulas connected to Italian epigraphy and to set landmarks in the study of the relationship of epigraphy with territory in the cities of Narbonne and Béziers.

Une nouvelle inscription latine, provenant d' Aigues-Vives (Hérault), dans le territoire de la colonie de Narbonne, permet d'examiner un aspect original du formulaire des épitaphes, qui se rattache à l'épigraphie italienne, et de poser quelques jalons pour une étude des rapports entre épigraphie et territoire dans les cités de Narbonne et de Béziers.
