This work represents a methodological contribution to the research carried out by motorway observation organisations on the construction and operation of new infrastructures, ft concerns two motorways in South-West France : the first, the A20, crosses the departments of the Lot and Tarn-et-Garonne and the second crosses the department of Aveyron. The approach which is proposed is based on the use of Digital Geographical Information as an aid to decision making and is centred around two axes : - a theoretical approach contributing to the creation of a study methodology adapted to the needs of the observation Units, - an operational validation of procedures, based on examples taken from each of the study zones. The analysis is concerned particularly with the extend to which urban and industrial areas are influenced by the presence of a motorway. The results show differences in the phenomena observed according to the level at which the study is undertaken.

Ce travail s'inscrit comme une contribution méthodologique aux recherches des observatoires autoroutiers sur les conséquences de la construction et de l'exploitation d'une nouvelle infrastructure. L'étude porte sur deux infrastructures autoroutières du Sud-Ouest de la France, l'une traverse le Lot et le Tarn-et-Garonne, c'est l'autoroute A20 ; l'autre traverse l'Aveyron. La démarche proposée s'appuie sur l'utilisation d'Information géographique numérique, pour l'élaboration d'un outil d'aide à la - décision et s'articule autour de deux axes : - une réflexion théorique, qui participe à la construction d'une méthodologie d'étude en fonction des besoins des observatoires ; - une validation opérationnelle des procédures, basée sur des exemples concrets rencontrés sur chacune des zones. L'analyse menée porte plus spécifiquement sur la sensibilité des espaces urbains et des bâtiments économiques à la présence d'une infrastructure routière. Les résultats montrent la divergence des phénomènes observés en fonction du niveau d'étude retenu.
