The study of undescribed material from Beni Mellal enables completion of the preliminary study done by R. Hoffstetter in 1961. Three new species of snakes (Boidae, Elapidae, Viperidae) are described. The Squamates from Beni Mellal show an already well developed north africain pattern, and differ clearly from the faunas of the European Miocene. The differences noticed between the Squamates of the Morocan Miocene and the ones of the european Miocene do not permit one to assume the existence of connection between Morocco and Western Europ.

L'étude d'un matériel inédit de Beni Mellal permet de compléter l'étude préliminaire réalisée par R. Hoffstetter en 1961. Trois nouvelles espèces de serpents (Boidae, Elapidae, Viperidae) sont décrites. Les Squamates montrent un cachet nord -africain déjà très prononcé et diffèrent nettement des faunes du Miocène européen. Les différences relevées entre les Squamates du Miocène marocain et du Miocène européen ne permettent pas de retenir l'existence d'une communication entre le Maroc et l'Europe occidentale.
