A visit to Katha in northern Burma (today''s Myanmar) is the perfect opportunity to follow in the footsteps of George Orwell who was a policeman in this little town containing many remains of the British colonial past and of different places described in his first novel, Burmese days.

La visite de Katha en Haute-Birmanie (aujourd''hui le Myanmar) permet de revenir sur les pas de George Orwell qui fut commissaire adjoint de cette petite bourgade qui a conservé de nombreux témoignages de son passé colonial anglais, des lieux qui servent de décor à son premier roman, Une Histoire birmane.
