Morrocan women's matrimonial position This contribution of Marie-Claire Foblets to a "Cahier du Grif" entirely devoted to Europe is aimed at providing some (technical) reflexions on the matrimonial capacity of women, whose personal statute fiercely resists to the perspective of sex equality, in the framework of the debate on immigrant women in Europe. These women are living among us. Because of their nationalities, they are still submitted to legislations, which apparently tend to modernize, but more fudamentaly which are inspired by historical logics, based on gender unequality, which challenge our democratic societies.
