Jahrhundert ; Zum ersten mal erschlossen, stellt die Familie de Lordat eines der wichtigsten Geschlechter in der hohen Grafschaft von Foix, dem Sabarthès dar. Das 13. und 14. Jahrhundert bringen eine eindeutige Verbesserung ihres Status durch Tausch von Grundbesitz und durch die Annäherung an die Grafen von Foix mit sich. Wenngleich Verbindungen zu der Héresie der Katharer bewiesen wurden, so bleiben die meisten religiösen Lebenswege der Familienmitglieder -nicht glanzlos -der römischen Kirche treu.

The Lordat : a family from Sabarthès from the XIIth to the XIVth century ; The Lordat family was one of the most noble lineage from Sabarthès, county of Foix. Its status was improved during the XIIIth and XIVth century, through land exchanges and the fact that they got closer to the counts of Foix. The essential of the religious careers accomplished by members of the Lordat family, some of them becoming quite famous, was devoted to the Roman Church, even if some links with the Cathars were well known.

Pour la première fois mise en valeur, la famille de Lordat était l’un des plus importants lignages du haut comté de Foix, le Sabarthès. Les XIIIe et XIVe siècles verront une nette amélioration de son statut au travers d’échanges fonciers et du rapprochement des comtes de Foix. Si quelques accointances avec l’hérésie cathare sont avérées, l’essentiel des carrières religieuses de membres de la famille de Lordat est voué à l’Église romaine, avec parfois un éclat certain.
