This article analyses the genesis and development of agricultural associations in Spain, between the Liberal Revolution and the crisis of 1898. It displays both the continuities and discontinuities which existed in the organisation of interests and collective action in the countryside in the transition between the Ancien Regime and the new society created by the revolutionary process. It establishes three periods in the evolution of associations in liberal Spain, linked to both structural and conjunctural factors, and traces the role played by the State in the shaping of corporatist formulae in the sector.

Cet article analyse la genèse et développement des associations agricoles en Espagne, entre la Révolution libérale et la crise de 1898. Il essaye de montrer les continuités et discontinuités existantes dans l'organisation des intérêts et l'action collective au milieu rural, à travers la transition de l'Ancien Régime à la nouvelle société établie par le processus révolutionnaire. L'étude distingue trois périodes dans l'histoire du phénomène associatif en Espagne et elle évoque le rôle joué par l'Etat dans la formation des mouvements corporatistes agraires.
