Résumé
A new way of sharing heritage responsibilities. This paper expounds the new legislation as established in France since 2000 about monumental heritage and particularly the ways of financing and thus the different responsibilities as regards archeology, monument preservation and inventory. It enhances a new way of sharing responsibilities between the State and local authorities, the Regions as well as the Départements and the towns, for a better public management.
