The concept of "training area". The author analyses the ground of a new territorial organization of schooling area in Picardy. These seem to correspond with a certain reality of the regional space. A study of success and failure in the public high schools is allowed at these scale. The "training areas" constitute a good scale for study to improve the territorial management.

L'auteur examine le bien-fondé d'un nouveau découpage des périmètres scolaires : les bassins de formation. Ceux-ci paraissent correspondre à une certaine réalité du terrain en Picardie. Une approche de la réussite et de l'échec dans les lycées publics est possible à cet échelon. Les bassins de formation constituent un bon niveau d'étude pour aider à l'aménagement du territoire.
