The Range of ports located between Roseoff and Scheveningen (the Hague) constitutes the most important port concentration in the world, with an average of one port of over one million ton of goods every 30 Km. Their geographic situation entailed some privileged links with the Ireland, and the United-Kingdom, one of the most important trading nation in the world. The development of new maritime navigation techniques and the integration of British in the eec increased the volume of trade.

La Rangée des ports situés entre Roseoff et Scheveningen (La Haye) constitue la plus forte concentration portuaire mondiale avec en moyenne un port d'une activité supérieure à 1 million de tonnes tous les 30 Km. Leur situation géographique a suscité la création de liens privilégiés avec le Royaume-Uni, l'un des pays les plus commerçants du monde, et l'Irlande. Le développement de nouvelles techniques de navigation maritime et l'entrée des britanniques dans la Communauté Economique Européenne a accéléré l'ampleur de ces échanges.
