EADS Group, created a few years ago, shows an example of a manufacturing activity which has been reorganized and which changes the principles of the spatial organization. Its plants and restructurations influence urban and metropolitan dynamics leading to a new trend of development which changes the link between a manu- facturing metropolitan area and its region.

Le groupe EADS, de formation récente, représente un exemple de réorganisation de l'activité industrielle de grande ampleur remettant en cause des principes fondamentaux de fonctionnement du territoire. Ses implantations et restructurations pèsent sur les dynamiques métropolitaines et urbaines et constituent un nouveau type de logique de développement changeant le rapport entre une métropole industrielle et sa région.
