Mingrations and political integration in eastern Gurma during the 19th century. In Niger's part of eastern Gurma, there are several small, traditional political formations, in particular small chieftancies where Gurma live but also « principalities » with Fulani origins running back to the 19th century. The history of the principality of the diowrat of Tammu, whose dynasty belongs to the aristocracy of an immigrant Fulani group known as Folmongaani, was reconstituted during the installation of a successor. This article has come out of work on Arabic manuscripts and an interpretation of oral traditions gathered in the field.

Dans la partie nigérienne du Gurma oriental existe un grand nombre de petites formations politiques traditionnelles, notamment de petites chefferies peuplées de Gourmantché ainsi que des « principautés » de souche peule mises en place au XIXe siècle. L'histoire de la principauté du diowrat de Tammu, dont la dynastie appartient à l'aristocratie d'un groupe d'immigrants peul connu sous le nom de Folmongaani, a été reconstituée lors de la nomination d'un successeur. Cette synthèse de données est fondée à la fois sur une exploitation de manuscrits en arabe et sur un travail d'interprétation des traditions orales recueillies sur le terrain.
