This article presents examples of research on the linguistic capabilities of chimpanzees to demonstrate that, far from being purely psycho-linguistic as they are always described, these studies lead to the experimental creation of hybrid communities, human/animal, that share senses, interests and affects and in which man himself is placed in a position that makes him the cognitive prosthesis for the primate. This phenomenon can be described as a case of «mutual cognitive domestication » of man and animal and leads to fundamental cognitive problems. Through these communications between humans and animals and these processes of « credited intelligence », the text shows that this project on a major cognitive anthropology very much exceeds the simple application of the cognitive psychology results to anthropology, that it includes both animals and humans and that it can serve as a foundation for a remaking of the concept of Cognitive and Social Sciences.

L'article prend l'exemple des recherches sur les capacités linguistiques des chimpanzés pour montrer que loin d'être purement psycholinguistiques comme on les décrit toujours, ces travaux conduisent à créer expérimentalement des communautés hybrides hommes/animaux de partage de sens, d'intérêts et d'affects, dans lesquelles l'homme se place lui-même en position de prothèse cognitive du primate. Ce phénomène peut être décrit comme un cas de «domestication cognitive mutuelle » de l'homme et de l'animal, et débouche sur des problèmes cognitifs fondamentaux. A travers ces communications hommes/animaux et ces procédures «d'intelligence à crédit », le texte montre que le projet d'une anthropologie cognitive majeure excède largement la simple application des résultats de la psychologie cognitive à l'anthropologie, qu'elle inclut à la fois les animaux et les humains, et qu'elle peut servir de pilier pour une reconceptualisation des Sciences Cognitives et des Sciences Sociales.
