Résumé En

The purpose of this study is the biometrical discrimination of two populations of field mouse, genus Apodemus, from South France. The first population characterized by the absence of a collar under the neck could belong to the species A. sylvaticus, and the second population characterized by a collar under the neck could belong to the species A. flavicollis. For each individual of two populations three corporal measures and two dental measures are taken. Five discriminant functions are calculated. The functions show that dental measures are better than corporal measures for discriminating populations.
