Embranchement versus Phylum : how the international contingency could influence the zoological nomenclature and the animal classification. Under the effect of the European political relations, at the beginning of the 20th century, the word «Phylum » (phylogenetic unit) was incorrectly substituted as the correct term «Embranchement » (systematic unit), and who lead more and more to be imposed to the scientific community by historical ignorance and inculture of some naturalists.

Sous l’effet de la situation politique européenne du début du vingtième siècle, au terme d’Embranchement (unité systématique) a été substitué le mot fautif de Phylum (unité phylogénétique) qui a une signification toute différente, mais qui tend de plus en plus à s’imposer à la communauté scientifique par ignorance historique et inculture de certains naturalistes.
