The Choral Aesthetics of Disappearance In the nineties, a number of performances - Peter Sellars' Persians, Olivier Py's "Requiem pour Srebenica" and Groupov's "Rwanda 94" — and of theatrical texts — Gabily's "Violences", Lagarce's "J'étais dans ma maison et j'attendais que la pluie vienne", and Kermann's "La Mastication des morts", explore the problematics of death and disappearance through the use of different modalities of the theatrical chorus.
