About the construction of potocki's manuscript found in Saragossa. For the whole of the 66 days of the Manuscript found in Saragossa (if the text of the Polish edition is Potocki's work) none of the patterns followed by the novelist confers a lasting form on the narration. The Manuscript whîch first seems to be a travel-novel actually offers a « labyrinthic itinerary ». The Stories of this new Decameron are ironie and subordinate to the f rame-narrative, The latter, according to which the Manuscript is an education-novel, finds Us limits in the ironie coun- terpoints and in the static conception of the work. This is how Potocki's scepticism and perhaps also a reflection on literature are expressed.

Pour l'ensemble des 66 journées du Manuscrit trouvé à Saragosse (si le texte de l'édition polonaise est bien l'œuvre de Potocki) aucun des modèles suivis par le romancier ne confère au récit de forme durable. Le Manuscrit, qui semble d'abord être un roman du voyage, présente en fait un « itinéraire labyrinthique ». Les Histoires de ce nouveau Décaméron sont ironiques et subordonnées au récit d'encadrement. Celui-ci, qui fait du Manuscrit un roman d'éducation, trouve sa limite dans les contrepoints ironiques et dans la conception statique de l'oeuvre. Ainsi s'exprime le scepticisme de Potocki, et peut-être une réflexion sur la littérature.
