Wionet Chantal - Colingualism in the Dictionnaire Universel ("de Trévoux "). In this paper, we propose a classification of the relationships between Latin and French (and vice-versa) in Trévoux's Encyclopedia Dictionaries, which were the most important dictionaries of the first half of the 18th century. This analysis enables us to take stock of a crucial moment in the history of the French language, particularly concerning that of linguistic representations.

Il s'agit dans ce travail de proposer un classement des types de rapports qu'entretient le latin avec le français (et inversement) dans un dictionnaire encyclopédique, le Trévoux, qui fut le plus important des dictionnaires de la première moitié du XVIIIe siècle. Cette analyse permet de faire le point sur un moment charnière dans l'histoire de la langue française, particulièrement en ce qui concerne l'histoire de notre imaginaire linguistique.
