Since its Independence in 1965, the City State of Singapore has undergone massive environmental transformations that have deeply transformed living conditions on the small island republic. The latter’s determination to fully integrate its economy with that of the world, as well as the permanent overhaul of its territory, entail increasing pressure on the local population.

Indépendante depuis 1965, la Cité-État de Singapour a connu un programme de transformation généralisé qui a bouleversé les espaces de vie de cette petite république insulaire. Sa volonté d’intégration de l’économie locale au marché mondial et la transformation physique de son territoire en chantier permanent ne font qu’accroître la pression sur la société locale.

Independiente desde 1965, la Ciudad-Estado de Singapur experimentó un programa generalizado de transformación que trastornó los espacios de vida de la pequeña república insular. Su voluntad de integración de la economía local en el mercado mundial y la transformación física de su territorio en obras permanentes intensifican aún más la presión sobre la sociedad local.
