The re-emergence of the agricultural landscape which preceded the forest after the fire of 1989 : two sites were studied in the communes of Beaurecueil and Saint-Marc-Jaumegarde (the latter of which underwent a private re-forestation project at the end of the 19th century), both of which were prepared for cultivation and cleared of stones to prepare grazing pastures for sheep. Until now the morphology of this landscape has been little studied, although it is typical of the molasic and calciferous plateaus which encircle the Sainte-Victoire.

Le paysage agraire qui a précédé l'installation de la forêt secondaire resurgit après le passage de l'incendie de 1989 : deux sites, étudiés sur les communes de Beaurecueil et de Saint-Marc-Jaumegarde (dont le second recèle une opération de reboisement privé à la fin du XIXe siècle) associent défrichements et terrains de parcours épierrés pour les moutons, peu étudiés jusqu'ici dans leur morphologie propre, mais caractéristiques des plateaux molassiques et calcaires qui entourent la montagne Ste-Victoire.
