Transports maritimes et économie française : aspects géographiques

This paper aims at analyse the recent fluctuations of the French maritime traffic, connected with the world economic depression, as shown by two economic indexes : the variation of the bulk of transported goods, on one hand ; the impact on employment on ships and in auxiliary services, on the other hand. The distribution of the second index in the French coastal areas is shown on figure 1 and tables 4 and 5.

RÉSUMÉ Cet article vise à analyser les fluctuations récentes du trafic maritime français associées à la crise mondiale, à la lumière de deux indicateurs économiques : d'une part, la variation du volume des produits transportés ; d'autre part, l'impact sur les emplois directs et induits. La répartition du second facteur dans les régions côtières françaises est indiquée sur la figure 1 et les tableaux 4 et 5.
