Cholet, a manufacturing town which long remained at a low level in the tertiary sectors, has, over the last decades, modernized its urban equipments and increased its tertiary activities : services to the population, services to the clothing-industry factories, services to technical and further education establishments. These new tertiary activities have been accompanied by a sociological mutation.

Cholet, ville manufacturière, longtemps sous-tertiarisée, a, durant les dernières décennies, modernisé ses équipements urbains et développé son secteur tertiaire : services à la population, services aux entreprises de l'habillement, établissements de formation. Ce décollage tertiaire s'est accompagné d'une mutation sociologique.
